The Russell has been a great meeting place for over a Century. Overlooked by Chequers the Prime Ministers country pile The Russell is a favourite with walkers and tourists.
A warm rustic feel greets customers in the bar, kept cosy in winter with two log burning fires. Behind the Bar you will find the bright colourful restaurant – check out the pictures by local photographer, Emma Rosling. The large enclosed garden packed with pretty bloom in the summer, is ideal for those lazy days of al fresco dining and drinking.
The food at The Russell is outstanding with several Awards. Chef Ben Hars and his team of chefs work hard to guarantee local produce is provided whenever possible and the freshest of ingredients are used. Thus making sure The Russell is worth a visit! Booking is essential especially at the weekends.
Parking is no problem, there are 20 places in the Pub Car Park and we are allowed to use the Village Hall as an overspill which is adjacent to the Pub.
